Borno State Schools To Resume November 17
The Borno State government has announced that public schools will be re-opened November 17th after attacks by Boko Haram insurgents in the state.
The Chairman, Committee on the Resuscitation of Primary School Education, Dr Mohammed Dongel, made this known in Maiduguri were he announced that the state government has introduced numerous incentives to ensure that the students return to school.
He said the state government will provide free school uniforms to all students in public schools and the school premises will be fumigated against reptiles and other rodents.
Dongel added that the exercise will be carried out in primary schools alone, as secondary schools will remain closed pending when the displaced people who are taking refuge in the schools are relocated.
